A campfire in the dark. It's warm, but the world beyond is vast. The circle is earnest, but the bodies are tired from hiking. Sparks rise from the embers into the stars, blending until you can't tell which is which. The group is so deep in their shared imagination that they postpone sleep in their tents. The boundary between worlds has dissolved.

"30 years ago I fell in love with two things at once: the wilderness and D&D. I was a little boy in the bush, which was suddenly filled with mages, monsters, heroes and vast alternate universes. I became proficient in the outdoors at the same time as I discovered pen-and-paper systems that allow people to imagine, create and play together in other worlds. Ever since, these two passions of mine have remained separate: I go hiking in the mountains, and then I play with friends at a kitchen table. But being out in the wilderness and playing TTRPGs go together like peanut butter and jam. It's time to make the sandwich."

Ember Range Adventures is a Calgary-based company that organizes and leads group experiences in the Canadian Rockies where playing a tabletop game like D&D is woven into the journey. Whether it's a long-weekend one-shot at an off-grid cabin, or an 8-day backcountry mini-campaign, we're here to build something unforgettable.
