Our Adventures
We offer two kinds of Adventures: Enclaves (fixed in one spot, like a cabin or campsite) and Expeditions (we travel to different campsites or cabins along a route, carrying our gear as we go). We plan to offer our first Expeditions in Summer 2027. You can register to join a planned Adventure with others (see the list below) or contact us to arrange a private Adventure for you and your group.
Each Adventure is:
Safe. Player safety is paramount, both on and off the table.
Unique. Each Adventure is tailored to the players who come on the journey—and none of them end up where you'd expect. While Adventures feature a distinct theme in a particular location in the Reolms setting, they will evolve and respond organically to the players (and characters) who show up.
Well-prepared. Each Adventure is meticulously planned, from accommodation and gear to the route and safety precautions, to ensure that Adventurers can show up, enjoy the outdoors, and play.
For adults, for now. All Players must be 18 years or older. We are developing programs for youth—stay tuned!
Equipment
In addition to providing food and water, we can also take care of dice, dice trays, pens and pencils, paper, character sheets, and other items necessary to play the TTRPG. Of course, we recommend you bring your own! For campsite-based Adventures, we will provide tents, though you are also welcome to bring your own.
Players are responsible for bringing their own outdoor gear (including rainwear, sleeping bag, mat, headlamp), toiletries and other personal effects. Once you register, we will be in touch to make sure you have everything you need. Most gear can be rented for an additional fee.
Travel
Our Adventures are set in the Canadian Rocky Mountains and its foothills, and they depart from Calgary, Alberta. We welcome Adventurers from near and far. If you need assistance arranging travel and accommodation before and after the Adventure, please contact us. We'd be happy to help.
Session 0
We will schedule a Session 0 prior to each Adventure. This is held remotely a few weeks before departure, and is a chance for participants to meet one another, get prepared for the Adventure, answer any questions (logistics, gear, transportation, etc.), learn a little about the story and world, and create characters with backstories. Session 0 usually takes about two hours.
Our Founding Season
2026 is the inaugural season of Ember Range Adventures.
We're looking for the right people to help us build something new. This year's three Adventures are offered virtually free of charge — transportation from/to Calgary, accommodation, meals, guiding, and the full tabletop experience are all included. The only cost is a $100 fee to confirm and hold your spot.
These departures are small and intentionally few in number. To be considered, please fill out an application. Those selected will become our Founding Players, and their feedback will shape everything that comes next.
Every story has a first chapter. This is ours.
